Alex has a diverse background, with a successful career in professional ice hockey coaching spanning over two decades and eight countries. He has achieved notable milestones as both a head and assistant coach, including winning two championships and securing a league promotion during his coaching career in the sport.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Alex pursued higher education in the United States, earning a bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University. He then spent over two decades of his life living and coaching ice hockey in Europe before shifting his expertise from the locker room to the boardroom.
Alex graduated from the Global Team Coaching Institute and the The Henley Center for Coaching (University of Reading) earning international coaching triple accreditation through the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC), the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Association for Coaching (AC). These achievements mark his transition into corporate teams coaching and demonstrates his commitment to developing leaders and teams in the business world.
Creating his own enterprise, The Elite Mindset Coaching, Alex is now dedicated to coaching business teams and developing their leaders. His passion for contributing to the development and success of individuals and organizations remains as strong as ever, as reflected in the personalized and unique coaching services he provides.
Having amassed extensive experience coaching elite athletes and teams has shaped Alex’s ability to navigate the complexities and challenges associated with leadership, multi-cultural team dynamics, and high-pressure situations. This background forms a solid foundation for his current work, where he applies the principles of teamwork, leadership, and elite level ‘mindset’ to empower corporate teams to cultivate successful, positive, inclusive, and supportive cultures within their organizations.
A citizen of both Canada and Germany, Alex currently resides in Nantes, France.
